Fundraising Ideas
Give up your Birthday
Most of us have enough stuff already—instead of asking for more presents; ask for donations on your page. And with every $10 giving another person clean water—your birthday has the potential to be a great day for tons of people!
Wedding
People “have to” give wedding presents! Include Generosity Water on your registry and have people give gifts of clean water. What better way to celebrate your love for each other than to bless others on your big day. See how others have done this in the past Video 1 and Video 2.
Throw your own Event
Concerts, dinner parties, sports tournaments, comedy shows—use whatever you already like to do. Get people together for something fun, charge per person, and get people access to clean water. When your event is purely for charity most people will donate time or gifts which can help you make a nice profit while having fun.
Connect your Business, School, Church or Team
Most of us are part of one or more of the groups above and starting a page together can be a great group project. The more people that you can connect the better, but even if your department, your class, your small group, or your dodgeball team work together—you’ll be able to fund some wells!
Do something crazy
People often respond to passion. We’ve had people hike Mt. Kilamanjaro, refuse to eat until their goal was reached, ride a motorcycle through Central America, or match dollar for dollar on their page. Sometimes the crazier, the better.
